This course would cover all training the modern investigator, banking, audit and security professional need to combat crime and provide intelligence support for their organization.

COURSE OUTLINE

 

  1. INVESTIGATING CORPORATE CRIMES AND BREACH OF POLICY

Participants would learn about the different tactics to effectively investigate workplace crimes and breach of policies such as code of conduct breach, compliance breach, misconducts, OSHA breaches and more. This module includes three tasks which participants would be required to complete.

  1. DEVELOPING THREAT ANALYSIS, CRIME ANALYSIS AND TRAVEL ADVSIORY

A practical session to work participants through the process of analysing crimes and threat to diagnose the vulnerabilities their organisation could be exposed to. This module includes a task and an assignment.

  1. INTELLIGENCE GATHERING AND DISSEMINATION

Participants would learn about the intelligence cycle and how it can be used to provide intelligence reports. Also, participants would learn how to manage information at different levels in an organization. This module includes 2 task and a group discussion.

  1. FRAUD INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about the different fraud tactics, how to investigate fraud, how to prevent fraud, how to manage the fraud process and forensic audit. There is a bonus module on banking fraud. This module includes tasks and an assignment.

  1. INVESTIGATION REPORT WRITING

This module includes a comprehensive report writing technique, investigative report writing languages and how to structure an investigation report. This module includes group tasks and an assignment.

  1. UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about the process and techniques of deploying an undercover agent for a covert investigation. It is a practical session with some tasks.

  1. FORENSIC ANALYSIS AND CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about Forensic Science and Crime scene investigation and its application for effective prosecution. This module includes various tasks.

  1. INTERVIEW AND INTERROGATION

Participants would learn how to conduct a successful interview and the Reid’s interrogation process. Also, they will learn about the negative and positive body language and cues to detect deception. This module is a practical session that involves various tasks.

  1. DUE DILIGENCE AND BACKGROUND CHECKS INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about the process of conducting a due diligence investigation, the documents required and the possible duration for each times of background check. This module includes tasks and case studies.

  1. DEBUGGING

Participants would learn how to debug a place with basic everyday tools to prevent covert bugging in their organisation. This module is a practical session.

  1. LAW ENFORCEMENT LIAISON

This module is a practical session which would help participants learn how to collaborate with the police effectively.

  1. TRACKING AND LURING

Participants would learn how to track and lure suspects and how to use soft targets. This module is practical with individual tasks.

  1. THEFT INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about the effective techniques to investigate different types of theft and asset misappropriation. This module includes various tasks.

  1. FORENSIC DOCUMENT ANALYSIS

Participants would learn how to analysis handwriting and documents which would be effective for fraud investigation. This module is practical with various tasks.

 

  1. SURVEILLANCE TECHNIQUE

Participants would learn how to conduct foot, mobile and technical surveillance for investigation. This module involves various tasks and assignment.

  1. LEGAL ASPECTS OF INVESTIGATION

Participants would learn about the legalities involved in an investigation and how to ensure they are carrying out their duties within the confines of the law.

  1. EVIDENCE GATHERING FOR EFFECTIVE PROSECUTION

Participants would learn how to collect, preserve and utilise various forensic evidence for effective prosecution.
